When Do I need to be in compliance with the Healthy Homes Standards?

Hataitai Healthy Homes Compliance Timeframes

Tenancies commenced beginning on 1 July 2019 and 30 , June 20,21

  • Underfloor and ceiling insulation is compulsory in all Hataitai and New Zealand rental homes where it’s reasonably practicable to install.

From July 1st 2024

  • All rental houses must be in compliance with the Healthy Homes Standards regardless of the date when the tenancy started.
